Reid Attempts to Shift Blame For His Own Inaction

Posted by Brian Patrick on

FYI –

While Senator Reid continues to distract from the fact that Senate Democrats don’t have a plan to get the economy back on track, House Republicans have put forth a robust jobs plan and have passed 11 pro-growth bills that still await action in the Senate. Last time we checked, as the Majority Leader, Senator Reid sets the schedule for the Senate floor. If job creation hasn’t been a priority in the Senate, he has no one to blame but himself.

  • Senator Reid: “I'm sorry to say that the Republicans have distracted Congress from its most important responsibility: getting our economy back to work and back on track," said Reid. "That is in jobs. We've been distracted time and time again." (The Hill, 9/6/11)
