Priority: Vacation or Payroll Tax Cut?

Translation: Senate Democrat Leaders are demanding to stay on vacation rather than work the last two weeks of the year to ensure passage a yearlong extension of the payroll tax cut for 160 million Americans. The President, the Senate and the House have each made clear that a yearlong extension of the payroll tax is a priority. Senate Democrats might want to reconsider their unsustainable position and come back to work.
