Next week, the House will consider the Require a PLAN Act (H.R. 444). Sponsored by Budget Committee Vice Chairman Tom Price, this bill will require the President to:

“Next week, the House will consider the Require a PLAN Act to force President Obama to put forward his plan to balance the budget. For the fourth time in five years, the President is expected to miss the legal deadline for his annual budget proposal. Another signal he is not serious about solving our nation’s spending problem. That is unacceptable. Even the budget he eventually submitted last year never achieved balance.
“House Republicans have passed a responsible budget to restore economic growth and opportunity, and we will do so again this year. With the No Budget, No Pay Act we made sure Senate Democrats will do the same, or they won’t get paid. Hopefully, with these measures in place, we can finally work together to reduce the mountains of debt facing our children and help families plan for a more prosperous future.”
