House Majority Leader Eric Cantor today released the following statement on the Continuing Resolution:
Since Obamacare was enacted, President Obama and fellow Democrats have unfairly carved out special exemptions and delays for big businesses, the politically connected and members of Congress.
This evening, the House of Representatives will vote to keep the government open, eliminate these special exemptions and delay the individual mandate.
It's time working middle class Americans get the same deal that President Obama and fellow Democrats have given themselves and powerful special interest groups.
There should be no special treatment for the well-connected under Obamacare.
Please take a moment to share this message with your friends and family:
Senate Democrats must now act to keep the government open rather than close it to protect themselves and their friends.
Delaying the individual mandate and withdrawing special exemptions for Congress is the fair thing to do.
