House Majority Leader Eric Cantor today toured The Hanover Center for Trades and Technology (THCTT) and met with students in the automotive technology, building trades, cosmetology and culinary arts programs:
"A good education is the first step toward success. Students and faculty at the Hanover Center for Trades and Technology share a commitment to pursuing and delivering an education that will prepare them for the future. The specialized curriculum at the center provides students with the skills necessary to succeed in a competitive workforce. In this tough job market there are many companies struggling to fill positions because there are not enough qualified applicants. No matter what field students choose to study, it is critical that they have the skills to prepare for college and pursue career opportunities. It is clear there is a real commitment in Hanover County to providing students with more choices, and I was extremely impressed with the facility and the work they are doing in the community.”
