Cantor Awards Local Veterans With 2009 Congressional Commendation

RICHMOND, VA- Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) this morning is awarding nine distinguished veterans with the 2009 Congressional Veteran Commendation. The presentation will take place at the Richmond State Capitol at 10:00 A.M..

Congressman Cantor issued the following statement:

“We salute the courage and love of country exemplified by those who wear our nation's uniform. We celebrate and embrace them all, from the Greatest Generation who served in World War II to those who serve in Iraq and Afghanistan today. Through the resolve and gallantry of our nation's veterans, our great country carries on the noble cause they have long championed - liberty.”
