Congressman Cantor Disappointed in Delay of Virginia's Health Care Suit

Posted on

RICHMOND, VA - Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) today issued the following statement on the Supreme Court's decision not to expedite Virginia's health care lawsuit:

"Today’s decision by the Supreme Court to deny Virginia’s request for an expedited review of Attorney General Cuccinelli’s health care suit means that Americans will continue to be burdened by the onerous rules and regulations of an unconstitutional law. In this challenging environment, Americans – especially job creators – should be spared years of litigation and uncertainty. This delay places additional burdens on our states, families and business owners as they are forced to continue to spend valuable time and resources on implementation. Despite being signed into law more than a year ago, the law has not lowered costs and people cannot keep the coverage they have even if they like it. That’s why House Republicans voted to repeal ObamaCare and will continue to take action to delay, dismantle and defund this harmful law.”
