WASHINGTON, D.C. - House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) released the following statement on the Obama Administration's unilateral delay of the open enrollment period in 2014:
"President Obama has once again tried to hide ObamaCare’s consequences from voters. Last night, the Obama Administration unilaterally delayed the start of next year’s open enrollment period from October 15 to November 15 for purely political reasons. Clearly, President Obama does not want voters to see increased prices, more cancelations and decreased options under ObamaCare before they go to the ballot box. Remember, President Obama and Congressional Democrats deliberately chose to have ObamaCare implementation begin after the 2012 election so they would not have to answer for the harm they caused. If ObamaCare is so great, why are Democrats so scared of voters knowing its consequences?"
