WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) released the following statement after the President signed the free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea, a central provision of the House Republicans' Plan for America's Job Creators:

“The President’s action today to sign the three long-awaited free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea will help create thousands of new jobs and encourage economic growth. These common sense trade agreements are a key component of the House Republicans’ jobs plan to help get our economy back on track, get people back to work and put our country on even footing with our foreign competitors. Finally moving forward on these agreements will provide our country’s manufacturers with the help they need to increase exports and increase production. The more manufacturers produce, the more workers they need and that means more jobs. We have said over and over again that we should not let our differences get in the way of delivering results, and I hope today’s action will encourage the President and the Senate to continue working with us on other bipartisan, pro-growth measures to improve the economy and get people back to work.”
