WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) released the following statement on the House passage of H.R. 6213, The No More Solyndras Act:

“In a rush to prove the success of their so-called stimulus, the Obama Administration made hasty and wasteful decisions, ultimately leaving American taxpayers on the hook for the $535 million Solyndra failure. The No More Solyndras Act the House passed today will prevent risky bets with taxpayer dollars in the future.

“President Obama has spent too much time picking winners and losers in our economy, instead of promoting policies that give our nation’s innovators, entrepreneurs, small businessmen and women a fighting chance to get their ideas off the ground so they can grow and create jobs. I thank Chairman Fred Upton, Chairman Cliff Stearns and the Energy and Commerce Committee for leading the charge to protect hardworking American taxpayers and hold the Administration accountable.”
