WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) today released the following statement on the House-passed FY2014 Defense Appropriations bill:

“I am pleased that the House has acted today to ensure the preparedness and effectiveness of the greatest military in the world. The world remains a dangerous place, and today the House has made a critical investment in America’s security. This bill takes important steps to bolster national security. It also ensures that those who have fought to defend our country are supported both on and off the battlefield. Providing our men and women in uniform with the resources they need to protect our citizens and our interests is critically important, and I thank Chairman Hal Rogers, Chairman Bill Young, and the Appropriations Committee for their hard work on this legislation.”
