WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) released the following statement commemorating Labor Day:

“This Labor Day, let us honor the hard working men and women who have built this great nation. Through their hard work and determination they were able to create a better life for themselves and their families. Here in America, no dream should be out of reach if you work hard. This has been the American way for generations. But increasingly we see that Washington has become a barrier to job growth and made it harder for working moms and dads to make ends meet.

“The President’s policies, especially the burdens of ObamaCare, have created a part-time workforce, putting the American Dream farther out of reach for too many Americans. This nation was built on hard work and opportunity, and as we celebrate this Labor Day, I remain committed to focusing on solutions to restore that opportunity for working middle class families."
