“The House will hear from senior HHS officials, including Secretary Sebelius, on the many problems that have been outlined by the implementation of ObamaCare.

“The bottom line is the problems with ObamaCare run deeper than just the website. The failed website is the most visible problem with ObamaCare right now, and it’s not just traffic. The data being transmitted may be incorrect, or even worse insecure. But the problems do run much deeper than the website.

“Now, I have a constituent, his name is Bruno Gora, he is 61. He is self-employed and he received this cancellation letter from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. He is a resident of Richmond and had insurance, and from the insurance company received notice that changes from health reform – otherwise known as the Affordable Care Act – continue to take effect in 2014 and to meet the requirements of the new law, the insurance company said, 'your current plan can no longer be offered.'

“Now, we know this morning that the President knew these letters were coming. This is really troubling, I believe, for all of the American people. If the President knew these letters were coming and still indicated you could keep your health care plan if you liked it, that raises some serious questions about the sales job of ObamaCare.

“That’s why we’re all saying that we shouldn’t allow the American people to be impacted like this because millions of Americans are going to receive letters like this over the next couple of weeks in the mail. No website fix, no one individual can resolve the problems that my constituent Bruno Gora is having or the millions of people who now are being told that the health care plan that they like, regardless of whether the Administration thinks they should like it, that they can no longer have it.

“That’s why we do need to delay this law, we need to delay the mandate tax that is associated with not being able to sign up, and we need to fix this problem.”
