Ten-year-old Gabriella Miller was a childhood cancer advocacy hero, long before she herself was diagnosed with brain cancer in the fall of 2012. She passed away on October 26, 2013.

Three weeks later, Congressman Gregg Harper announced that he was renaming the Kids First Research Act in honor of Gabriella's memory.
